Changing Times
Catherine Deneuve and Gérard Depardieu star in this drama that was co-written and directed by André Téchiné. Antoine (Depardieu) is a bachelor who comes to Tangier to supervise a construction project, but his main interest is in rekindling a relationship with a woman he hasn't seen for three decades. His old flame is Cécile (Deneuve), who is in a problematic marriage to a Moroccan.

She is the mother of an adult son, who has both a girlfriend and a male lover. The film explores issues in multiculturalism.

Thank You for Smoking
This comedy is a satire about lobbying. Nick Naylor (Aaron Eckhart) is a lobbyist for the tobacco industry who is a brilliant spin artist with no moral compunction. He's on good terms with alcohol and firearms lobbyists, and with them constitutes the M.O.D. Squad, where M.O.D. stands for Merchants of Death. Naylor's main opponent is Senator Finistirre (William H. Macy), who wants a skull-and-crossbones on cigarette packaging. Maria Bello, Robert Duvall, Sam Elliott and Katie Holmes are also in the movie.

X-Men: The Last Stand
Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen return for the third in the series of action movies based on Marvel Comics that began with X-Men (2000) and X2: X-Men United (2003). The premise remains that certain humans are mutants with special powers, but many ordinary people want to rid the world of the mutants.

This time around someone has come up with a "cure" for mutants, but some of them don't want to be "cured." It all ends up in a huge battle around the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.

Adam Sandler is the star of this high-concept comedy. Sandler plays Michael Newman, a workaholic architect who has little time for his family. Then one day he obtains a magical universal remote that enables him to manipulate his environment much like a DVD: he can mute sounds, fast-forward through unpleasant moments, revisit scenes in his past, etc. But eventually Michael learns a life lesson. Other actors in the movie include Kate Beckinsale, Henry Winkler, Julie Kavner and Christopher Walken.

Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties
The sequel to Garfield (2004), this comedy has Bill Murray returning to voice the titular house cat. This time around, Garfield travels to London with his owner (Breckin Meyer). While there, Garfield ends up trading places with a look-alike kitty named Prince (voice of Tim Curry), who has inherited a huge estate and a large fortune. This gives Garfield a life of luxury, but also a problem: he must avoid being done away with by the next in line to inherit. Bob Hoskins provides the voice of the bulldog Winston.

A Prairie Home Companion
Robert Altman directed this good-natured movie about the final show of a folksy radio program that's been on the air for three decades. The fictional program is quite similar to the real-life one hosted by Garrison Keillor, who plays a version of himself called G.K. in the film. In the movie, corporate interests plan to raze St. Paul's Fitzgerald Theater to put in a parking lot. The film's ensemble cast includes Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin, Kevin Kline, Woody Harrelson, John C. Reilly, Tommy Lee Jones and Lindsay Lohan.

Waist Deep
This action crime drama stars Tyrese Gibson. In Los Angeles, ex-gangster O2 (Gibson) is fresh out of prison and trying to go straight when the kidnapping of his young son changes everything. He teams up with the good-looking prostitute Coco (Meagan Good), and together they go on a crime spree to get money to ransom the abducted boy and for Coco to start a new life somewhere else. Their actions precipitate a gang war between the crime lord Meat (played by the rapper known as the Game) and Coco's boss.
