How to Stop Internet Explorer Redirecting to Ads

    • 1). Press "CTRL+ALT+DEL" keys at the same time.

    • 2). Click "Task Manager" and then click the "Processes" tab.

    • 3). Click "Iexplore.exe," click "End Process" and then re-launch Internet Explorer.

    • 4). Click the gear icon in Internet Explorer 9, point to "Internet Options" and then click the "Privacy" tab. Verify that "Pop-up Blocker" box is checked to indicate it is turned on. If you use an earlier Internet Explorer browser, click "Tools" from the toolbar, click "Internet Options" and then click the "Privacy" tab. Verify that the "Turn-on Pop-up Blocker" box located under "Pop-up Blocker" is checked and then click "OK."

    • 5). Navigate to the Web page you want to make your "Home" page using Internet Explorer 9 and then right-click the "Home" icon on the browser.If you use an earlier version of Internet Explorer, click the down arrow beside the "Home" icon.

    • 6). Click "Add or Change Home Page," click "Use this webpage as your only home page" or "Add this webpage to your home page tabs," and then click "Yes."
