Is the Ab Circle Pro a Scam?

The Ab Circle Pro is one of the most heavily advertised pieces of fitness equipment in the world today. It is showing in major TV channels and is selling like hotcakes. I believe that it's so popular due to the impressive infomercial it has and the way it looks. It truly appears as if it's fun to use.

However, infomercials tend to paint a much rosier picture than what the reality really is and so the question is how different is this product from the way it's portrayed: does it really work or is Ab Circle Pro a scam?

I did some digging and read a lot of user reviews. Opinions were mixed. Some reported good results with this machine, while others hated it. However, there were a few problems which repeated themselves:
  1. The knee pads - Some people reported that the knee pads weren't as comfortable as they should be. Indeed, some people said they were actually painful.
  2. The way the Ab Circle Pro work doesn't really target the abs for everyone. Because you grab the handlebar some people said they felt the strain more in their arms than in their abs.
  3. The machine isn't of the highest quality. Some people said it actually broke after a short while.

Above all, you should know that there is no way you can really burn off belly fat by doing just ab exercises. This is simply not the case. You can't burn stomach fat from a specific body part by doing targeted exercises. This is one of the most common fitness myths in the world.

Our body burns fat from all over regardless of which body part we workout. This means you need to focus on full body training and do the exercises which burn the most body fat. Stomach exercises are simply not the most effective fat burning workouts. This is the truth.

So, you won't get flat abs by working out with the Ab Circle Pro or any other machine. You may strengthen your abs a bit but they won't show until you burn off the excess belly fat. To do that you need to workout your entire body and watch what you eat.

Only you can decide whether it's worth to pay $200 for the Ab Circle. If so, then make sure you use it a lot. I wish you good luck.
