Instructions for a Canon PowerShot A60

    • 1). Hold the Canon A60 in your hand, turn it upside down and insert four "AA" batteries into the bottom of the camera and an empty "Compact Flash" memory card into the camera.

    • 2). Press the "On/Off" button on the top of the camera to turn it on. Rotate the "Exposure mode" selector dial located on the top of the camera to the shooting mode you want to use.

    • 3). Turn the camera to "Camera mode" by turning the switch near the top of the back of the camera to the red camera icon. When you want to view your pictures, turn this switch to the blue "Playback" mode and navigate through the pictures using the four round directional buttons located just below this switch.

    • 4). Hold the camera to your eye to look through the optical viewfinder or hold the camera in front of you and compose the picture using the live view feature and the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen on the back of the camera.

    • 5). Adjust the focal length of the lens by turning the ring adjustment that surrounds the shutter release button. Once the picture is composed the way you want it, press the shutter release button to take the picture.
