Sleight of Hand - Beginner"s Magic Tricks

Magic has always been an integral part of our history.
Before the days of iPhones, Internet and cable, magic would draw in crowds seeking entertainment.
Nowadays, magic has gone extreme, with performers who risk their lives drawings the biggest ratings.
But one thing all these amazing performers have in common is that they have a good foundation in conventional magic.
Prestidigitation, or sleight of had is one of those fundamentals and the earliest magic tricks featured it greatly.
Many of these types of magic tricks can be performed using a coin or coins.
Let us see some of them.
  • Double Coin Trick- The oldest and the neatest trick that when performed properly, can still make the mouths go wide in disbelief and amazement.
In this trick, a magician held out a small coin in front of everybody and within a split of a second transforms it into two large coins.
This effect of a small coin culminating into two large ones can really dismantle even the calmest of the audience.
This trick is completed by the magician palming the coins, and then slipping them out.
It really is more about dexterity than being clever.
  • Elbow Coin Trick- This trick again is one of the most fundamental tricks and it produces an indelible mark too.
In this trick, the magician rubs a coin on his elbow and the coin surprisingly vanishes into thin air.
It is an easier trick to learn and with a bit of practice, one can easily master this trick.
Again, this is a trick where you would slip the coin between two fingers, and then turn your palm towards the audience, effectively hiding the coin.
  • Coin Glass Trick- This trick is probably the most awe-inspiring trick and is one of those tricks that inspires the audience to become magicians themselves.
In this unbelievable trick, a coin is placed on a flat surface preferably a table.
Then along that coin, a glass in an upside down position is also placed.
Then the magician covers only the glass with a handkerchief or a piece of cloth.
That covered glass is then put over the coin.
Then the magician removes the cloth and to everybody's utter disbelief, the coin is not there.
Yes, the coin mysteriously disappears and one is forced to appreciate the magician.
  • Coin Bag trick- This is one such magic trick that is a preferred one for the beginners.
This trick requires less practice and generates much excitement in the audience.
This simple trick has the ability to create goosebumps in the audiences.
In this trick, the magician puts a coin inside a small bag or a pouch and then after a few seconds the coin disappears form that pouch.
The audience can check the pouch for the coin, but is unable to find it.
This trick really conjures a lot of attention from the audiences.
These were some famous coin tricks and these tricks if mastered would surely help you in making a name for yourself in the enchanting world of sorcery.
