A visit in God’s Own Country
This was our first time in God's own country. We planned our trip in Alleppey to enjoy canals, backwaters, beaches & lagoons. We booked ourselves a cottage in Panoramic Sea Resorts. We also booked a massage package for 7 days. It was once in a lifetime opportunity and we had to make full use of it.
We started from Mumbai in Netravati express. We boarded from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Kurla station) and we expected to reach Alleppey next day at around 4. Our pick up was arranged by the panoramic people. We reached Alleppey on time. The people from Panoramic Sea Resort were there holding my name in a placard. We then started towards their resort. We were thrilled to find sea shore right in front of the resorts. It was amazing feeling just looking at the beautiful waves. We had a long stroll on the beach. When we came back we saw all our luggage was set up in our room. All formalities were completed.
After checking in we again went to the beach. It was so peaceful that nothing was bothering my mind. I was at peace with myself. We were served dinner at sharp 8. As we had booked Ayurvedic package we were served some ayurvedic diet. As it was our first day in Kerala we decided to try fish curry. It was deliciously prepared. After having our meal we decided to rest ourselves well. The next morning we were offered green tea at 6.00. We had options for breakfast which included all south Indian dishes. We were confused as we love munching on the south Indian dishes. We asked them to bring what they liked. They served us some rice chapattis which they call €Pathiri€ with vegetable kurma. This was after a long time I was having my breakfast at morning 8.00. Here, at Panoramic sea resort people adhere to the same rule for every customer. They serve fruit or vegetable juice at 11.00 am. Lunch was served at sharp 1.00 pm. They have many choices for lunch and dinner. They don't serve fried meat or spicy food.
In between we had our Ayurvedic massage. They poured some herbal oil all over my body and started massaging. It was relaxing; I didn't realize when I dozed off. It was refreshing. I actually felt like I have lost some weight. Little I knew that it was because my mind was more clear & clean before. After the massaging we sat on the beach for long hours without talking to each other. The panoramic people served us tea and snacks there itself without disturbing us. It was one of the many following evenings where I found inner peace. The Panoramic resort helped us achieve what one always looks for.
Our schedule continued the same way for next 5 days. It was at Panoramic Sea Resort where we enjoyed with each other without much talking. All we did was to indulge ourselves with the nature in the form of massage & walking on the beaches. On the last day panoramic people arranged a boat ride for us. It was like an icing on the cake. One should always try boating in the backwaters & Ayurvedic massage when in Alleppey. I am thankful to panoramic sea resort for providing me the one of the best holidays ever.
