5 Anti Aging Tips - Stay Younger Longer

No one wants to get older, right? We all want to stay young and healthy as long as possible.
This article will present you with 5 tips to stay young and healthy for longer.
1.
Think young, be young.
How many times have you heard the phrase "You're only as old as you feel"? And, it's true.
Keep telling yourself your young, think young, act young and soon you will feel young, too.
2.
Rev up your metabolism.
With age comes a loss of metabolism and that means we gain weight quicker which contributes to making us look and feel older than we really are.
Keep your metabolism high by eating small meals regularly, plenty of aerobic exercise and strength training for muscle mass.
3.
Get more antioxidants.
Free radicals are responsible for premature aging and age related diseases.
Antioxidants 'neutralise' free radicals.
Foods high in antioxidants include: berries (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, rasberries and Goji berries), broccoli, tomatoes, red grapes, garlic, spinach, tea, carrots, soy and whole grain products.
4.
Get plenty of vitamin C.
When you slice an apple in half and leave it exposed, it turns brown.
This is an example of oxidation.
This is the same process that works on the skin to age it.
Oxidation ages the skin.
Now try and slice an apple in half and dip it in lemon juice.
The apple turns brown much more slowly.
This is because of the vitamin C in the lemon juice.
This means the more vitamin C you consume, the slower your skin will age.
Foods high in vitamin C include: papaya, broccoli, brussel sprouts, strawberries, oranges, cantaloupe, kiwi fruit, cauliflower and kale.
5.
Get your full quota of sleep.
Experts recommend at least eight hours of sleep per night.
While you sleep your body maintains and repairs itself.
Sleep helps to keep the mind and body young by conserving energy and other resources that the immune needs to fight infection and age related diseases.
