The Utility of EEG in the Emergency Department
Although pathological EEG results were found to be higher in our population, the risk of potential selection bias should be considered owing to the retrospective methodology. In addition, the exclusion of 45 patients from the statistical analysis because of inefficient data could have changed the results. A prospective study is needed to better determine these effects.
