How to Find Foreclosed Homes Through Banks

    • 1). Call any local bank directly that you think may have foreclosures for sale. The easiest way to obtain their contact information is from their website. Ask to speak to the collections manager and ask if they have any REOs (Real Estate Owned) properties. People try to find foreclosed homes through banks on a regular basis, so they will know what you are talking about.

    • 2). Call a real estate agent and inquire if they know of any banks with foreclosures in the area you’re searching. Real estate agents find foreclosed homes through banks to list on their own so they may be able to funnel a few contacts through you.

    • 3). Browse the website of a bank you may be interested in. If you do not find a section for listings, perform an inquiry using the site’s internal search engine.

    • 4). Perform a web search. Simply type “bank foreclosures,” “bank REOs,” “find foreclosed homes through banks” or any variation on these search terms and you will find dozens of websites. These sites funnel information from multiple sources and put them together in one place. The downside is you may have to register and/or pay a fee.
