Deactivate

• 1). Click "Account" and then "Account Settings" from any Facebook page.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Settings" tab, then scroll to the bottom of the page.
  
  
• 3). Click the "Deactivate" link at the bottom of the list of options. This takes you to a new page where you must provide information about the reason you wish to deactivate your account.
  
  
• 4). Provide the required information and make any necessary choices, such as whether to continue receiving email. When you are done, click "Confirm" to deactivate your Facebook account.
  
  

Delete

• 1). Sign in to the Facebook account you wish to delete.
  
  
• 2). Visit Facebook's "Delete My Account" page.
  
  
• 3). Click the blue "Submit" button to submit your request to permanently delete the account. Click "Cancel" or close the page if you have changed your mind.
