How to Cover Acne Marks
- 1). Moisturize your face with an oil-free moisturizer. Prepared skin allows the makeup to glide over the surface.
- 2). Apply oil mattifier to the skin to keep makeup from moving around on oily skin. If skin is not oily, skip this step.
- 3). Dab yellow concealer on any red marks you may have. Pat the concealer into your skin but do not worry about blending it. The foundation will hide the concealer.
- 4). Fill in pockmarks with wrinkle filler. Use a pen-type filler for this application. Dab the tip of the pen, dispensing the product gently into the mark. Do not overfill the acne mark. Not every mark will be deep enough to require filling in. Allow the product to dry a full minute before moving on to the next part of the coverage.
- 5). Dampen a clean makeup sponge. The sponge should not be soaking wet. Rub the sponge across the cream to powder foundation.
- 6). Apply the foundation to the face, dabbing it first over the areas you concealed. Then work on the face from the forehead down to the jaw line.
- 7). Sweep a translucent finishing powder over the entire face. Use a large, soft powder brush to apply the powder.
