How to Use Firefox DownloadHelper

    • 1). Install DownloadHelper, if you haven't already, by pointing Firefox to its page in Mozilla's add-ons database. Visit Addons.mozilla.org, type "DownloadHelper" in the search box and click "Video DownloadHelper" when the search results appear. Click "Download Now" and follow the on-screen instructions to install the add-on.

    • 2). Visit a site containing content that DownloadHelper can access, such as a YouTube page. When DownloadHelper can download an element on the page, the add-on's logo -- three colored balls, located in the top right of the Firefox interface -- will begin to rotate.

    • 3). Click the arrow next to the DownloadHelper logo to open a small pop-out menu with a list of files the add-on can download. Click one of the files to begin downloading it.

    • 4). Download multiple YouTube videos -- from a search results page, for example -- by clicking and dragging to highlight all the videos you want to download, right-clicking and selecting "Download Videos From YouTube Link(s)."
