How to Report FEMA Fraud With Rental Assistance Money
- 1). Gather as much evidence of the suspected fraud as possible. This includes the perpetrator's name, address and any other relevant information. The OIG may not be able to prosecute the perpetrator if the evidence is insufficient.
- 2). Write a letter addressed to the OIG reporting the suspected FEMA fraud. Include all the evidence you have gathered. Date and sign your letter. Provide your full name, address and a telephone number where you can be reached. Notify the OIG in your letter if you would like to remain anonymous.
- 3). Mail your letter via certified mail to:
