Ahwatukee -- That"s in Phoenix -- Celebrates With Lights!
The Festival of Lights Kick-Off Party draws over 20,000 people and starts the holiday season with a holiday party to celebrate the season. From Thanksgiving weekend until the New Year, Chandler Boulevard from 24th Street to Desert Foothills Parkway is illuminated with more than a million white lights.

When is the Festival of Lights?
- Opening Day Celebration: Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Lights Along Chandler Blvd: Thanksgiving 2014 through New Year's Day 2015, every evening until 11 p.m.
Where is it?
The Opening Day Celebration will take place at Desert Foothills Park in Ahwatukee. Parking at the park is limited. Shuttles will operate from Altadena Middle School, 14620 S. Desert Foothills Parkway and Ahwatukee Foothills Family YMCA, 1030 E. Liberty Lane.
The beautiful Ahwatukee lights can be seen on Chandler Boulevard from 24th Street to Desert Foothills Blvd..
How do I get tickets and how much are they?
There are no tickets to the Kick-Off Party -- admission is free. Viewing the lights in Ahwatukee is also free.
What else should I know?
At the opening day Kick-Off Party the live entertainment will include a full line-up of local group performances. There will be carnival fun, community performances, Marketplace Street Fair and a lighted Harley Davidson Parade of 100+ riders. Rides/inflatables from 11am to 8pm, $20 all-day wristbands. Individual tickets are 50 cents each.
