Mormon Missionary Christmas Wish List
Christmas is a special time for people that belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or as most people know them, The Mormons.
It's a wonderful time of year to celebrate the birth of Christ and to spend time with family and loved ones.
Mormon missionaries are far from home during the holidays and one of the best ways to help them to not feel homesick during the holidays is to send them a Christmas package and let them know you're thinking of them.
If you're not sure what to send, here are some ideas for what your missionary would have on his wish list: -Clothes: missionaries do a lot of walking and only have a few sets of clothes.
Clothes can get worn out pretty quickly.
A new pair of shoes, socks, or even a whole new suit could be what your missionary wants most for Christmas.
-Food: missionaries LOVE food! Send your missionary his favorite treat.
If he is in a foreign country send him non-perishable items, especially those he can't get where he lives.
This could be a jar of peanut butter, a box of cereal or even a can of his favorite soup.
His favorite Christmas candy would be another great item on his wish list.
-Testimony Package: contact family members, friends, ward members, home teachers and members of the stake to write down their testimony.
Gather them all and send them in a package to your missionary.
He will find great joy to read about how those he loves so much love the Savior and live His gospel.
-Music: missionaries are only allowed to listen to church related music.
Because of limited packing space they might only pack one or two CDs.
Send them some extra CDs with new music so they don't get tired of listening to the same music over and over again.
-Work out items: missionaries have limited time in their busy schedule for exercise.
An exercise resistance band or some small ankle weights might be just what your missionary needs to help him have a good workout each morning.
You could even send an exercise program for him to follow.
The holidays are a great way to be with family and celebrate all of the good things in life.
Your missionary will also be celebrating Christmas wherever he may be serving and one way to bright his Christmas Day is to send him a gift from home.
Let him know that he is not forgotten.
