Location

• Diamond Head State Monument is located at the eastern end of Waikiki in the city of Honolulu. The entrance to the crater can be found on Diamond Head Road between Makapu'u Avenue and 18th Avenue.
  
  

By Car

• The best way to get to Diamond Head from Waikiki is to head east on Kalakaua until you get to the Honolulu Zoo. Take a left turn onto Monsarrat Avenue and continue for 1.25 miles until the road turns into Diamond Head Road. After another quarter-mile, you will come across a tunnel with an entrance into the crater.
  
  

By Bus

• There are several buses departing from Waikiki that can take you to Diamond Head. Nos. 22, 23 and 24 stop at the Diamond Head bus stop along their routes. Buses run approximately 30 minutes apart. Cross the street for return routes.
