Amherstburg Vision Centre - New Location Has More Glasses & Sunglasses to Choose From!

Amherstburg Vision Centre has moved to a new location. The office was located at 266 Sandwich Street in Amherstburg for over 30 years, but the old building was getting too small. The new location at 503 Sandwich Street is over 2600 sqft.
With all the extra space Dr. Melissa Dattilo-Kidd and Dr. Frank Fox can each work out of a separate exam room, allowing both doctors to conduct eye exams on the same day. The goal of this was to allow them to accodate more patients. Amherstburg Vision Centre is proud of their "New Patients Always Welcome" policy and with the extra exam space they will have no problems keeping up.
The extra space also allowed Amherstburg Vision Centre to bring in more glasses. There are now sections for 2 for $199 glasses, designer frames, sunglasses, specialty sport glasses (Golf, Swimming, baseball, motorcycle, bicycle, boating, fishing........), and more brand names. Brands carried now include Oakley, Adidas, Rayban, Versace, Fendi, Coach, Fysh, Candies, Oga, Bolle, D&G, Guess, Gant, Burberry and Alfred Sung.

The services offered at Amherstburg Vision Centre include:
*Eye Exams
*Pediatric Eye Exams starting at 6 months old (earlier if needed)
*Lasik Consultations
*Contact Lens Fitting
*Colour contacts
*bifocal contacts
*Retinal Exams
*Cataract and Macular Degeneration Exams
*Eyeglasses
*Sports Eyewear(Golf, Swimming, baseball, motorcycle, bicycle, boating, fishing........)

Dr. Dattilo-Kidd has also been active in the community. She won an award for her work promoting eye care and has been active in the "Eye See Eye Learn" program. The goal of the program is to ensure all students entering school have had their ocular health checked. Students entering JK are eligible under OHIP for a fully covered eye exam (as well as all people under 19 or over 65 years old). The program takes this further by providing glasses for the JK student at no charge.
