How to Install a Zune MP3 Player
- 1). Visit the official Zune software download site. There will be a "Download Now" link on the left side of the page. See "Additional Resources," below, for a link to this page.
- 2). Install the Zune software by double clicking on the folder you downloaded in Step 1. Note: Even if you have a very fast computer, expect to set aside an hour or two for the installation process. Once the installation process has completed, restart your computer.
- 3). Open the Zune software and then plug in your device using the bundled cord. Note: The Zune requires a high-speed (2.0) USB connection. See your computer's owner's manual if you are unsure which USB ports on your computer follow the 2.0 protocol.
- 4). Wait for the drivers to install. Drivers are specialty software that allow your operating system to interact with your device. A little window will pop up at the bottom of your screen letting you know when you have downloaded all the necessary drivers for your Zune to work correctly.
- 5). Click on the "Device" link in the Zune software. Your Zune should appear there momentarily. You can then select sync and Internet options. Once you have set all these settings, as well as charged your Zune for at least six hours, you will be able to disconnect your Zune and use it normally.
