How to Stay Awake Through a Red Eye Flight
- 1). Stock a backpack with 2-3 books and a few magazines that you have not read. Make choices that are relevant to your interests and will keep you intrigued while reading them. Bring books that you have not read before and that will keep your level of interest up for the trip.
- 2). Load your computer with options to work with. If you have projects for work that can be done on a computer, use this time to get them done. Work on documents and projects that will keep you ahead of schedule and allow you to have more time to see the sights at your destination..
- 3). Drink energy drinks. Try to minimize the ones with alot of sugar as you will experience a lull in energy after they wear off. Instead, look for ones with guarana, a berry that packs alot of energy in it. Also, coffee works as well. Teas will also give you the stimulation of caffeine without as much jitters that coffee can give.
- 4). Write in a journal. Record your thoughts, plans and expectations for the trip. This is best accomplished with ear plugs to minimize distractions. This is also a great way to relieve your mind of many of the thoughts and ideas that are bouncing around it. Snack lightly and avoid carbs. They will only make you sleepy.
