How to Copy a DVR to a DVD With a Recorder
- 1). Insert the first pair of RCA audio/video cables into the "Video Out" ports on the back of the DVR. Plug the opposite end of the cables into the "Video In" port on the DVD recorder.
- 2). Connect the second pair of RCA audio/video cables into the "Video Out" port of the DVD recorder, then insert the other end of the cables into the "Video In" connection on the TV.
- 3). Power on the television, DVD recorder and DVR. Navigate to the DVR play-back menu (typically channel "1" on the DVR), and select the program you want to record onto the DVR.
- 4). Select "Play," then choose the "Record" feature on the DVD recorder. As the DVR plays the video, the DVR records the content onto its internal hard drive. Once complete, press "Stop" on the DVD recorder (the DVR stops automatically).
- 5). Press the "Menu" button on the DVD recorder and select the "Create DVD" function. Choose the captured video content and insert a blank DVD into the DVD drive. Choose "OK" and the video content, recorded from the DVR, is burned onto the blank DVD.
