How to Get Weather Alert on Your Desktop
- 1). Open your Web browser and go to the "The Weather Channel" Web page (see Resources link).
- 2). Click the "Free Download" button on the Web page.
- 3). Select your desktop as the download destination from the window and then click the "OK" button.
- 4). Wait for the download to complete. This should take about 20 seconds.
- 5). Double-click the installer on your desktop to launch the software.
- 6). Accept the software agreement from the menu and then click the "Install" button.
- 7). Click the "Finish" button when prompted to finish the installation.
- 8). Double-click on the Weather app icon on the bottom of your desktop screen. This is a red temperature button.
- 9). Enter your ZIP code into the prompt and click "OK" to set your location in the app. The app will now send you weather alerts.
