Stop Puppy Aggression Now

Puppy aggression problems are commonly experienced by pet owners.
It may be because of the puppy's breed, like the Cocky Spaniels that suffers from rage syndrome; or due to pain or illness that needs medical attention.
Puppies also tend to be aggressive because they lack attention and had been left alone.
Boredom and anxiety can lead to aggression.
Lastly, the puppy may have experienced being bullied, which can make the puppy lash out in response.
As owner, it is your responsibility to make sure the puppy grows to be a well-behaved dog.
To avoid any accidents and harm to anybody, it is best that the causes of puppy aggression be addressed accordingly.
But before any training or behavioral modification, have the puppy checked first by a veterinarian to ensure aggression is not caused by a medical condition.
The good thing about having a puppy rather than an older one is that puppies are easier to teach and are more eager to learn.
You only have to be consistent in what you teach your puppy so that he will know what you really want him to do and what you don't.
Prevention here is best so the first signs of aggression should already be stopped, however cute the little pup may look doing it.
Establish to your puppy that you are the leader and he is dependent upon your guidance.
He must be taught that you set the rules and when those rules are followed, he will be rewarded- either with treats or with your undivided attention.
Do this with love, not with cruelty or the puppy will fear you.
This will only worsen the problem and destroy the bond between you and your pet.
Do not scare or yell at the puppy.
A firm NO will do the trick.
Just be clear that when you say NO, you mean it and whenever disobeyed, the puppy gets no reward.
When the puppy shows a quite and calm behavior, reward him with praise and treats.
When he knows that behaving well is a great thing, he will be less likely to act aggressively.
