- 1). Navigate to the GIMP website to locate the Windows download link, or go directly to the GIMP download page on the Gimp-win.sourceforge.net website.
- 2). Select the language in which you want help to appear. Click on that language to begin downloading the help installation file. Click "Save."
- 3). Close GIMP if it is open.
- 4). Double-click the GIMP Help setup file after it has downloaded to install GIMP Help to your computer.
- 5). Restart your computer when the installation is finished.
- 6). Click the GIMP "Edit" menu. Select "Preferences." Click "Help System" in the left menu. Select "Web Browser" if it is not already selected. Click "OK."
- 7). Access GIMP Help at any time by pressing "F1" on the keyboard. To get help for any menu item, put the mouse cursor on that item, then press "F1." Your Web browser opens GIMP Help to the entry for that item.
