How to Unlock a Samsung E770 Phone
- 1). Go to a website that sells Samsung mobile phone unlock codes. Dozens of these sites exist; some good options (see Resources) include Fonezone, GSM Server and Samsung Unlock. The unlock codes should not cost more than $50 as of 2010.
- 2). Go to the "Purchase code" page or link and select the manufacturer and model of your phone. Enter the country and mobile provider where you purchased your phone, and enter the IMEI number. This is the 15- to 17-digit number found on the sticker beneath the phone's battery.
- 3). Check your e-mail; within 48 hours, you will receive a step-by-step procedure on how to unlock your phone using the code that you purchased.
- 4). Turn on your phone and enter the code as you see it in the e-mail. Do not turn off your phone while it is unlocking, as this may damage the phone. Once the unlock process has completed, turn off the phone and replace it with a new SIM card from a different network. You should see your new provider's name on the home screen.
