Step-by-Step: How to Draw Puppies
- 1). Create the puppy´s head by drawing a circle in the center of your paper.
- 2). Trace an oval right underneath the circle. The oval must be considerably larger than the circle, since this will be your puppy´s body.
- 3). Sketch two middle axes inside of the circle. This will help position the facial details.
- 4). Pencil in a medium-sized circle over the part where the circle and the oval join together. This will be the muzzle.
- 5). Draw a silhouette to complete the puppy´s body. Start drawing a line from the left, bottom half of the head all the way down, past the end of the oval. This will be the first leg.
- 6). Draw the puppy´s remaining legs. Trace two parallel lines from the front part of the oval, making a small, horizontal circle at the end. This will be its foot. Repeat the process, this time in the back part of the oval, to create the puppy´s hind legs. Finally, add three small vertical lines over each foot to create the puppy´s fingers.
- 7). Depict the puppy´s nose and ears. Draw two long, flabby ears, one at each side of the head. Next, sketch a small, uneven circle in the middle of the muzzle. Add two small dots in the lower part of the circle. This will be the puppy´s nose.
- 8). Add the puppy´s mouth. Draw a sort of open W letter just below the nose. Then, using the middle axes, draw the puppy´s eyes and eyebrows.
- 9). Draw the puppy´s tail. Sketch a medium-size, horizontal oval at the right-most, bottom part of the puppy´s body.

Erase the middle axes and other construction lines to have a better look at your finished puppy.
