Easter Party Gift Bag Ideas
- Create colorful springtime gift bags for your Easter party guests. You will need chocolate bunnies and colorful Easter eggs, but you can also jazz up your gift bags with household goods and inexpensive craft supplies. Have fun while you decorate and fill each guest's individual gift bag.
- Purchase plain white gift bags and paint them yourself with acrylic paint. Place the bags on a flat surface with a thin sheet of cardboard inside the bag to prevent paint from seeping through. Use metallic or sparkly acrylic paint for a festive look, and use glitter glue pens for added embellishments. Use photographs or web images as a guide if you are less confident in your artistic skills. You can also work with stencils. Cut a simple shape from cardboard or cardstock to use in a repeating pattern. Personalize each bag with the guest's name. Let the bags dry thoroughly on a flat surface before you fill them with goodies.
- Purchase small white or pastel-colored paper bags. Draw a simple shape, such as an Easter egg or bunny, on cardstock to use as a stencil. Cut the shape and trace inside it in pencil on the face of each paper bag. Cut the shape out of the front of the bag. Tape clear cellophane or plastic wrap over the empty shape on the inside of the bag so the tape does not show on the front. Fill the bags with chocolate Easter eggs or colorful jellybeans. Fold over the tops of the bags and fasten with ribbon.
- Fill a colorful tote bag or paper gift bag with green Easter grass. Make paper tulips with construction paper or cardstock in a variety of colors and patterns. You can cut out flat tulip shapes or, if you are more ambitious, you can layer several flat petal shapes together to create a 3-D flower. Hot glue the flowers to pieces of wire or pop-sickle sticks to stand them in the gift bag.
- Create simple felt gift bags in fun Easter shapes. Purchase sheets of felt in a variety of colors. Cut out two large identical shapes, such as an egg, bunny or lamb. Hot glue them together at the edges. Leave the top open and attach a handle with additional strips of felt with hot glue. Add detail to the front of the bag by hot gluing additional pieces of felt in a variety of colors.
