Work at Home Business - 3 Tips to Survive Online
When starting a work at home business, most people find themselves looking for markets that will give them the biggest paycheck.
Unfortunately there is not magic formula for a successful work from home business.
It's not that simple.
To have a successful work at home business, you must use good marketing practices that have been proven over time.
With the following tips, you will be able to run a successful work from home business.
Tip 1: Website.
You must have a website to promote you products.
When building a website, do not promote all you products on the same page.
There have been many studies that revealed if give your customer too many options to choose from, they will choose none.
You should build a different site for each item.
If this would be to expensive, then build a page on your site for each item.
This will help keep your customer focused.
When possible, provide reviews or customer testimonials.
This will help potential customers understand what the product will do for them.
Just be careful to get permission before using testimonials.
One of my favorite ways to help customers with making a buying decision is to write an article highlighting each item.
To be effective, the article should be informative, not a sales letter.
Post an article for each item on a separate page of your website, with a redirect back to the product page at the end.
Tip2: Information.
Another way to help you potential customer make a buying decision is to give them a free report.
Now before you shrug your shoulders and say "I can't write a report," let me explain.
The report itself does not have to be 100 pages.
The report can be as short as 2 or 3 pages, or it can be a series of emails about the product.
Research has shown that a potential customer usually requires multiple exposures to your product before they buy.
With a free report, or email series, you can keep your product exposed to each customer until they purchase.
This also allows you to develop a relationship of trust with your customer, allowing them to make a decision to purchase from you.
Tip3: Traffic.
Not just any traffic will do.
The number one reason most people fail at an online business is traffic.
They either do not driver any traffic to their site, or they drive the wrong traffic.
You need to focus your efforts on driving targeted traffic to your site.
If someone visits your site that is not interested in your product, then that would be the same as no traffic.
There are many ways of getting targeted traffic.
One of the most effective and popular ways is to write articles, such as the one you are reading right now.
You simply have to write one or two articles a week and post them online.
There are several article directories you can post your article too, and they are free.
Just remember to keep your article informative, it's not a sales letter, and direct customer to your website.
Try these tips with your work at home business and you will sell more products, not to mention the checks you will get.
