Video: What Size Weight Should Women Begin Lifting Weights With?

My name is Aja Davis. And in today's video I'll be talking to you about what size weights women should use when they begin lifting. When doing any type of workout program women should always include some sort of weight lifting. The reason why is because weights help you to tone define your arms, your core, and your legs. When starting any lifting program women should always use a weight where they can do 12 to 15 repetitions of any exercise with that weight. For example, I'm going to start off with a seven pound weight. We'll do a shoulder press just to start. Come in here pressing up and down. Up and down. You want to make sure that you can do 12 to 15 repetitions perfectly before increasing the weight.
