According to Matt Nicolson, a representative at the Roadshow, "When you arrive at the event, you will be asked to fill out a simple registration card, with an registration number, there is about 10-45 minute wait before you meet the appraiser. When your number is called, you will be escorted to a table, where your items are screened, scrutinized and sorted. The experts using their expertise and specialized equipment will then determine the value of the items. If you choose to sell your items, they will be bagged and tagged and your are escorted to the cashier to collect your payment. It's that simple! There is no pressure for you to sell your item or worry about how the item reach the collector."

Sam Deeks another representative says, "You are also welcome to get any antique or collectibles to trade. Mostly the Roadshow sees a lot of old coins, watches, gold and silver. Other merchandise include paper-money, fine art, jewelry, military items, guitars and toys. One of the most valuable items uncovered so far was a 1993 Case pocketknife with a pearl handle. It's one of only 10 made and still in its original box with the original paperwork and was brought for over a thousand dollars."
