Taylor Door Frame Specs
- Located in West Branch, Michigan, the site of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, Taylor Building Products designs, manufactures and sells steel edge entry doors. Its products reflect over 30 years of innovation in the pursuit of quality. As a complement to that product line, it has introduced fitted door frames for new and remodel construction.
- With its trademark name, Fitted Frame, Taylor Products sells its white door frame to accompany its main product, entry doors. Made from a galvanized steel frame two-piece construction that is adjustable and relatively easy to install, Taylor makes an optional wood trim. The frame contains an opening for Kerf-style beige foam weatherstripping.
- Advertised with a 90-minute fire rating and a hurricane-resistant testing, Taylor has submitted its product to rigorous testing. The fire rating translates into the number of minutes the product will withstand fire before being consumed. The hurricane testing involves resistance to objects striking the door frame during high wind conditions.
- Taylor designs and builds its frames for use with its doors, so the dimensions must match. The frame comes available in three wall sizes: 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 inches, 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 inches and 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 inches. Frame size ranges up to 3x8 feet.
