The following questions and suggestions can help you weed through the sea of hopefuls.

1) Does the exhibit house offer a "turnkey" package of services? An exhibit house should be able to handle every aspect of your tradeshow participation from marketing materials, to installation & dismantle services. The majority can assist in developing artwork through ordering show services. The level of service required should depend upon your specific needs vs. their capabilities.

2) Can they supply references? Do they have client testimonials? Does the exhibit house have experience within your industry? Check with your Account Executive to determine their level of experience at your key events.

3) Ask about the onsite or show site management team. Are the laborers union affiliated? Does the I&D service include an onsite supervisor? How would they address unexpected emergencies on show site? Offer a few past fiascos to determine their approach to resolving these issues.

4) Inquire about their vendor partnerships. Which services could be outsourced? What is the status of the exhibit house's relationship with each vendor? Do they have exclusive partnerships in place?

5) Visit the showroom. Schedule an appointment to meet the Account Representative, tour the facility, and review the exhibit materials, design and workmanship. This visit will provide an opportunity to really review your potential partner's capabilities and possibly help you seperate them from the competition.
