Miss Kitty lived a sad life until she was two years old, living with some people whose dog killed her first litter of kittens, then thrown out on the street, heavy with another litter because her owners were expecting a baby. Fortunately, she was rescued by Jessica's family and is now healthy, happy, and sassy as befitting an Empress, which Jessica calls her affectionately.
