How to Upload Sermons to a Church Website
- 1). Select the sermon file you want to put on your website. Video files can be used as they are, or audio files can be paired with a relevant image that is displayed as website visitors listen to your sermon.
- 2). Select a video hosting service for your sermons. Sermon Studio and SermonCast offer free sermon hosting services for churches. YouTube and Vimeo offer general video hosting services that can be used by anybody, churches included.
- 3). Upload your files to the hosting service of your choice. You will need to click on the "Browse" button and select the appropriate file. Once you click "Upload," you will need to wait for the file to finish uploading. This can take anywhere from a few seconds to an hour or more, depending on the size of the file and the speed of your Internet connection.
- 4). Preview your uploaded file to make sure that it plays properly. If not, repeat the upload process until everything works as intended.
- 5). Copy the embed code from the video hosting service and paste it onto your church's website editing tool. You might place it on your homepage, or on a page specifically dedicated to your sermons. Save any changes you make to the page when you copy the embedded code.
- 6). Check your website to ensure that the embedded player is working properly and displaying properly on the page. Have a friend or two double check the church website to ensure that it works on more than one computer. Update your player as new sermons become available.
