Orlando Summer Camps 2014
Looking for a summer camp for your child this summer? The Orlando area is overflowing with options, whether you want a performing arts camp, sports camp, educational camp or something else.
1. Art and History Museums of Maitland
- Grades 1-6
- 231 W. Packwood Avenue, Maitland
- Spend the summer painting, drawing, sculpting, and having fun at the Maitland Art and History Center. Full day and half day weekly camps are available for kids of all skill levels.
2. Central Florida Zoo
- Ages 6-12
- 3755 NW Hwy 17-92, Sanford
- The Central Florida Zoo offers both half and full-day programs designed to educate through fun activities. Camp options include Pirates of the ZOOribbean, Jr. Zoo Keeper, Jungle to Jungle and more!
3. The Center for Contemporary Dance
- Ages 4-13
- 3580 Aloma Avenue #7, Winter Park
- The Center for Contemporary Dance offers several summer camps for children. The half-day Princess Ballerina Camp is for ages 4-5 and the full-day Dance & Art Camp is for ages 6-13. All faculty are industry professionals.
4. Crealdé School of Art
- Ages 4-17
- 600 St. Andrews Blvd., Winter Park
- Crealdé’s Summer Art Camp introduces various art-making techniques to students of all ages and skill levels. Classes are taught by professional artists, and the summer finale features work from each student in a special exhibition.
5. Disney Soccer Academy
- Ages 5-18
- 700 S Victory Way, Kissimmee
- Held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, this summer camp provides four days of professional instruction and appearances from players and stars. There are three sessions available to choose from, with the first beginning June 16, 2014.
6. Equestrian Quest
- Ages 4 & Up
- 4355 County Road 426 North, Geneva
- Kids attending camp at Equestrian Quest learn about safety, care and nutrition for both horses and riders. Camp also includes trail riding, lessons, swimming and lots of fun games.
7. Florida Film Academy
- 270 West Plant Street, Winter Garden
- Head to Winter Garden this summer and learn about making movies, doing movie make up and more! This camp is a hit with aspiring singers, dancers and actors.
8. The Garden Theatre
- Ages 4-17
- 160 West Plant Street, Winter Garden
- These weekly camps take place in Winter Garden in June and July and offer students full day and half day opportunities to participate in productions of The Little Mermaid and Fame Jr.
9. Orange County Library
- Ages 6-12

- Summer isn't a time to stop learning. The Orange County Library is offering various summer camps and other activities for kids in a safe environment. Programming, computer and other classes are also available.
10. Orange County Regional History Center
- Grades K-8
- 65 E. Central Blvd., Orlando
- Elementary and middle school students will have a great time at the the History Center's educational summer camp. Kids can design their own theme park, explore the science behind sports, discover magic, uncover the mysteries of the Mayan pyramids, brave the wild west and lift fingerprints at a crime scene.
