Successfully Grow Your Home Based Business By Taking Small Breaks To Recharge Your Mind And Body

For many work at home moms or dads, when they are first starting out and trying to grow their new home based business the most basic instinct is to literally do everything they can to succeed.
In most cases this means working 24 hours a day, seven days a week until they reach their objective or goal.
Unfortunately, this might actually prove to be counterproductive to successfully building a profitable home based business.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with hard work and I put my own full share in each and every day to build my own business but the reality is our minds and bodies need a break every now and then in order to function at maximum potential which translates into building a better and more profitable business in a faster and more efficient manner.
As I previously mentioned, there is nothing wrong with hard work and it is definitely a character trait that separates the successful entrepreneur from the underachievers.
I would look rather foolish if I were to try and preach to you that positive results will come from little to no effort on your part.
In fact, many successful home based business owners will tell you that hard work is what got them to where they are with their own business.
So, please don't take interpret this article as a discouragement from putting in the necessary time, effort and elbow grease needed to build your business.
Instead, what I want you to understand and take away from reading this article is the fact that giving yourself a well deserved break from time to time is just as vital to your ultimate success as hard work in terms of pushing your business forward while you operate at your optimal and peak performance.
There is no doubt that when you take time to rest, allowing your mind and body to relax in order for it to recharge itself, your energy levels significantly increase and your creative and entrepreneur side take over.
In fact, take this small test for me.
I encourage you to start giving yourself small 10 to 15 minute breaks throughout your typical work day.
I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts that you will see a noticeable improvement in your overall productivity.
Best of all, your current customers or potential customers will see it also because it is very infectious in nature.
If by chance you are the type of entrepreneur who finds it extremely difficult to stop during your work cycle in order to recharge your internal batteries try developing and then writing down a work-rest schedule and then stick to it.
I have personally used this technique in building my own business and am still amazed at how much productivity I can get out of 5 hours of solid work with decompression breaks built-in to my work schedule.
In fact, I'm much more productive then when I was putting in 12 - 14 hour work days.
Naturally there will be some occasions when you are unable to actually enjoy your relaxation time.
I'm sure you know what I'm talking about as we have all been there.
However, as long as this is not a routine event for you and you remember that taking care of both your mind and body is just as important to the success of your home based business as hard work you will be just fine.
