Plug in and turn on the Bluetooth adapter on your laptop, if the device is external. If the laptop has an internal Bluetooth adapter, make sure the adapter is active.

Press the “Menu” key on the LG Trax phone to view all applications.

Tap the “Settings” option to open the Settings menu.

Tap the “Bluetooth” option in the Settings menu. The Bluetooth Settings screen displays.

Tap the “Turn On” option to enable Bluetooth on the phone, and then tap “OK.”

Tap the “Back” arrow to return to the Settings menu, and then tap “My Device Visibility.”

Tap the “Visible” option, and then tap “OK.” Your phone is now in Bluetooth pairing mode.

Right-click in the lower left corner of the Windows Start screen to show the Windows 8 context menu.

Click the “Control Panel” option. The Control Panel window opens.

Click the “Add Devices and Printers” option. The Add Devices and Printers interface opens.

Click the “Add a Device” option. Windows 8 searches for all Bluetooth devices in range. The discovered devices are listed in the Devices pane.

Click the entry for the “LG Trax” connection. If you are prompted to enter a passcode, type “0000“ and then click “OK.” By default, the LG Trax is not configured with a passcode. The computer establishes a Bluetooth connection with the LG Trax phone.
