Oct 9, 2007 - The original stars of the Fast and the Furious franchise - Paul Walker and Vin Diesel - are in negotiations to return for the fourth movie of the series. Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (aka Fast and the Furious 3) director Justin Lin will also be returning for the as-yet-untitled Fast and the Furious 4.

Walker starred in the original Fast and the Furious and the first sequel, 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Other than a tiny cameo in Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Diesel has avoided returning to the franchise. Now both actors are apparently willing to give the franchise, which helped advance their careers more than any other work on their resumes, another try.

Diesel's next film is the sci-fi adventure pic Babylon A.D.. Walker will next be seen in the independent film, The Heaven Project, written and directed by John Glenn.
