DIY Dremel Sanding

    • 1). Place the object to be sanded on a workbench. Clamp the object to the workbench with bar clamps to hold it securely in place.

    • 2). Insert a sanding attachment into the Dremel rotary tool's chuck and tighten it. Select the appropriate attachment for the sanding task. Attachments include contours, discs and drums that accept rough, medium and fine-grit sandpaper to allow you to sand flat, curved and detailed surfaces with precision.

    • 3). Turn the tool tool on and lower it onto the surface of the object you're sanding. Apply light pressure and allow the tool to do the work while you guide the tool.

    • 4). Change attachments as needed throughout the sanding process to sand curves, details and flat portions.

    • 5). Complete the sanding process by using fine-grit sandpaper on the attachments you used to sand the object to create a smooth-sanded finish.
