How Do I Make a Gutter Vac Using a Leaf Vacuum?
- 1). Attach the chipper bag to the leaf vacuum so the leaf matter doesn't spray on you when you vacuum the gutters. Plug the hose attachment into the leaf vacuum.
- 2). Push one of the duct work elbows onto the end of the hose attachment and duct tape it securely to create a seal. Duct tape the other elbow onto the end of the first one to create a u-shape.
- 3). Turn on the leaf vacuum and raise the hose attachment until the duct work elbows go up and into the gutter. Walk the length of the gutter slowly, allowing the leaf vacuum to suck up the debris in the gutters.
- 4). Turn the vacuum off and remove the chipper bag. You can use the leaf matter in your compost heap, or as mulch in your flower beds.
