How to Make an Apple TV Go Into DFU Mode
- 1). Plug the larger end of your USB cable into a USB port on your computer. Plug the smaller end into the micro USB port on the back of your Apple TV. The micro USB port on your Apple TV is located underneath the HDMI port.
- 2). Open iTunes on your computer.
- 3). Press the "Menu" and "Down" buttons on your Apple TV remote at the same time. Hold those buttons down for six seconds, then release them.
- 4). Press and hold the "Menu" and "Play" buttons on the remote simultaneously. Wait six seconds, then release them. Your Apple TV will enter DFU mode.
