How to Read PPT Files
- 1). Launch Microsoft PowerPoint if you already have it installed on your computer. If you don't, a trial version can be downloaded via the Microsoft Office Online website, by selecting "Free 60-day trial." See Resources section for link.
- 2). Click "File" and then choose "Open."
- 3). Navigate to the PPT file you wish to view, then click "Open" to load the file into PowerPoint.
- 1). Download, install and open the PowerPoint Viewer by following on-screen instructions (see Resources).
- 2). Click "File" and then "Open."
- 3). Locate the PPT file, select it and then click "Open" to view the file. You will not be able to edit the file in PowerPoint Viewer 2007.
- 1). Download, install and open PPT to PDF Converter 3000 (see Resources) by following the on-screen instructions. This is useful if you want to make the PPT file viewable on any computer with Adobe Reader.
- 2). Click "Add Files" and navigate to your PPT file; select it and then click "Add."
- 3). Click "Settings" next to "Output Directory," and designate an output location (the drive and folder where the file will be stored, for example).
- 4). Click "Convert" to convert the file to PDF format. After conversion is complete, you can navigate to the new PDF file, and double-click it to open and read the contents.
