Self-Muscle-Testing To Find Root Causes For Your EFT Tapping
Most tappers are not quite sure what to tap for when they start.
This is usually because by the time someone starts using EFT, they have a lifetime of negative events to tap on, and it is easy to get overwhelmed in the midst of it all.
Another thing that sometimes is challenging for EFT newbies is how to rate an event from 10-0.
It is easier to rate it as There or Not-There.
Muscle-testing takes care of both challenges.
The easiest way to get things to muscle-test for is to write them down on small pieces of paper.
This is how I do it for real clients.
Get a few sheets of A4 paper.
Fold in half and cut along the fold.
Repeat, so that each sheet becomes 4.
Now fold in half again to produce two long and small rectangles from each quarter.
Then write events from your life, one on each small rectangle.
Write down anything that comes to you.
If nothing comes to you, then just write different ages, such as 5 Years Old, 12 Years Old, etc, on the papers.
Now fold each paper in half 5 times to hide what you have written.
Mix the papers up so you no longer recognise what is written on each.
Now you are ready for the muscle-test.
The easiest muscle-test is the sway test.
First of all, to ensure accurate results, it is good to invest in a little preparation.
One is to drink water.
Drink a whole glass of water, not juice, tea, coffee, or soft drink, but plain water.
The second is to clear your energy a bit with Collarbone Breathing.
If you do not know the Collarbone Breathing, here is a simple version.
Place two fingers of your right hand on your right Collarbone point and with two fingers of your left hand tap your right gamut point continuously while breathing as follows.
· Breathe halfway in and hold as you tap 7-8 times · Breathe all the way in and hold as you tap 7-8 times · Breathe halfway out and hold as you tap 7-8 times · Breathe all the way out and hold as you tap 7-8 times · Breathe normally for as you tap 7-8 times Now place two fingers of your right and on your left Collarbone point and, while continuously tapping your gamut point, do the breathing exercise again.
Next bend the fingers of the right hand so that the knuckles are prominent, and place them on the right Collarbone.
Again tap the gamut point while completing the breathing exercise again.
Now do the same using the right hand on the left Collarbone.
Next repeat the whole thing with the left hand.
And that completes your Collarbone Breathing and helps clear your energy.
To do the sway test, put one of the pieces of paper in front of you, as you are standing up.
Now close your eyes and notice how you sway backwards or forwards.
If you sway forwards, ignore that piece of paper.
If you sway backwards, then what is in that piece of paper weakens your energy.
Open it and tap on whatever is inside it.
Keep the rest of the papers not as yet opened to be used next time you have a self-tapping session, and use the sway test to help you choose what to tap on.
This way of finding root causes takes a lot of the guesswork out of your tapping.
A word of caution here, however.
For really traumatic or big issues, it is best to work with a practitioner, who will make sure the process is very gentle for you.
Wishing you peace on your healing journey.
