How to Add a Password to a Linksys Wireless Router Model WRT160N
- 1). Open a Web browser and type "192.168.1.1" without quotes into the address bar.
- 2). Press "Enter."
- 3). Leave the username blank and type "password" (without quotes) for the password.
- 4). Press "Enter."
- 5). Click "Wireless."
- 6). Click "Wireless Security."
- 7). Click "WPA2 Personal."
- 8). Type a password into the "Passphrase" box and then click "Save Settings" to save and apply the changes. Any currently connected wireless clients must disconnect and reconnect using the new password.
