Zero Res Carpet Cleaning - Tips and Tricks

People who own carpets often have a hard time keeping them clean.
This is because there are many factors to be kept in mind while cleaning one.
Some carpets are sensitive to cleaning agents, and may lose their colors, while others may get torn in the cleaning process itself.
All carpets need to be cared for duly, so that they retain their grandeur for many, many years.
Here are a few cleaning tips: 1) Prevention is better than cure.
Preventing your carpet from getting stained, soiled or dirty in any way is the cheapest and best way to care for it.
A carpet free of stains or dirt does not have to be cleaned very often.
This increases the life of the carpet dramatically.
2) It is not advisable to use heating elements, irons or blow-dryers on your carpet to dry out wet stains.
This might cause the stain to permanently bind to the fibres of your carpet.
Once that happens, any attempts to remove the stains will only damage your carpet.
3) Never use strong alcohol-based cleaning agents on your carpet.
They might be great at removing stains, but in the end, they make the fibres of your carpet brittle and weak, and your carpet become prone to tears.
4) Vacuum your carpet as often as possible.
Taking out dust and dirt lodged in the carpet can be very useful in case some sort of liquid spills on to it.
Dirt and dust lodged in the carpet can make liquids get adsorbed onto the fibres of your carpet and form permanent stains.
5) If your carpet is made of exceptionally soft material, that you think could tear or get worn out quickly, make sure people don't wear shoes while walking over it.
You could politely ask people to remove their footwear while walking into the room where you have spread the carpet out.
6) Don't try to rub out stains from your carpet using a piece of cloth or a wet sponge.
This might cause the stain to spread over your carpet and get smeared over a large area.
Place a thick, heavy cloth over the stain, and apply pressure over it for 12-24 hours, so that the stain gets absorbed into this cloth rather than your carpet.
7) Use very mild cleaning agents on your carpet.
Strong bleaching agents and other substances end up doing more harm than good to your carpet.
Though their cleaning action is powerful, they have some very bad side-effects on your carpet.
Consider using zero-res carpet cleaning agents that are commonly available in the market these days.
These are very safe, and do not harm your carpet.
They do not leave behind any traces and work just as well as normal cleaning agents.
