- 1). Remove dust from the rubber mat with a feather duster or a soft cloth. Dust can build up and become unsightly on the rubber.
- 2). Mix 1 cup of fabric softener and 2 gallons of cool water in a plastic bucket.
- 3). Dip a mop into the water. Wring out the majority of the liquid until the mop is damp, not dripping wet.
- 4). Mop the rubber mat with the fabric softener and water mixture.
- 5). Pour 1 gallon of cool water into a plastic bucket.
- 6). Dip a mop into the cool water. Wring out the majority of the liquid until the mop is damp, not dripping wet.
- 7). Mop the floor with the cool water. This will remove the fabric softener mixture from the mat.
- 8). Allow the mat to dry completely before use.
