How to Send Money to a Georgia Prison Inmate

    • 1). Determine the Georgia's inmate's prison location. Visit the "Offender Search" link on the Georgia Department of Corrections website to search for an inmate by last name, GDC identification number or case number.

    • 2). Locate the address of the Georgia inmate's prison. Visit the "Facility Search" link on the Georgia Department of Corrections website for a complete list of all Georgia prison facilities, driving directions, mailing addresses and payment codes.

    • 3). For phone, walk-in or internet money transfers, visit the websites for Western Union, JPay, Access Secure Deposits or TouchPay Payment Systems for phone or internet transaction information and walk-in locations. Instructions vary by company, but information is available on each payment company's website as well as the Georgia Department of Corrections website.

    • 4). For money order payments, mail the money order and payment voucher directly to:

      Visit the GDC Offender Funds Voucher Printing System link on the Georgia Department of Corrections website to print out a payment voucher. You must have the inmate's GDC ID number for this step.

    • 5). Once you have sent in the money via Internet, phone, mail or in person, verify that the funds were received by visiting the GDC Banking Payment Receipt Information link on the Georgia Department of Corrections website. You must have the inmate's GDC ID number to check for the receipt of funds.
