How to Decorate Jars With Beads

    • 1). Wash the jar thoroughly inside and out. After the beadwork is on, you won't be able to wash the jar, so have it clean and dry before starting. Wipe the outide surface of the jar with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils left from touching it with your fingers.

    • 2). Spread out the newspaper to protect the work surface. Arrange the beads on the table in the pattern that you would like to see on the jar. Try a simple row of different colored beads just going around the middle of the jar or a flower pattern on one side of a salad dressing jar.

    • 3). Put a small amount of glue on the bead and a small amount on the jar where it will go and wait a few seconds. Then attach the bead to the jar. Hold it firmly for about 30 seconds and then move on to the next bead. Continue to glue the beads one at a time, making sure each one is firmly attached before moving on to the next.

    • 4). Handle the jar carefully until the glue has completely set up. It is now ready for use.
