How to Configure a Mailbox Exchange
- 1). Choose "Mailbox Mode." Select "Email Accounts" located in the Tools Menu. Choose "View" or "Change Existing Email Accounts" followed by "Next." Select "Change" followed by "More Settings." You will now see a tab labeled "Advanced," select it to see which mode your mailbox is currently saved in. Ensure that status reads "Unicode Mode."
- 2). Ensure that "Cached Mode" is on. Select "Email Accounts" in the Tool Menu. Select "View" or "Change Existing Email Accounts" followed by "Next." Select the mailbox you need to change. You should now see a list labeled "Outlook Processes Email for these Email Accounts in the Following Order." The mailbox will be inside this list. Once the mailbox is selected, select "Change." Choose "Used Cache Exchange Mode" by clicking inside the check box. This is located inside Microsoft Exchange Server. Leave this open for now.
- 3). Ensure that public folders are available for download. Go back to the "Advanced" tab. Choose "Download Public Folder Favorites." You can do this by clicking the check box next to it. You will locate this inside the "Cached Exchange Mode Settings."
