How to Play Media Player on a Television
- 1). Connect the S-video or VGA cable from the computer's video out port to the video input on the TV. The pins inside the round S-video plug align with the holes in the socket. The four-sided VGA plug contains three rows of pins that align with the holes in each port on the computer and TV.
- 2). Insert the small plug on the Y-adapter into the computer's headphone or line-out jack and connect the two plugs on one end of the stereo cable to the jacks on the other side of the Y-adapter.
- 3). Plug in the other ends of the stereo cable to the TV's audio inputs that go with the video connection used in Step 1.
- 4). Turn on the TV and press the "Input" button on the set's remote control until the computer image appears on the TV.
- 5). Click the "Start" or Microsoft flag button in the lower left corner of the computer screen and select "All programs." Double-click "Windows Media Player" to start the software. Any program played on Media Player can now be viewed and heard on the TV. For example, watch a movie on the TV by inserting a DVD in the computer's media tray and click the "Play" button on Media Player when the main DVD screen appears.
