    Kalahari Resort

    • The 125,000-square-foot indoor water park at Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells is the resort's claim to fame as largest single indoor waterpark in the United States. Open 365 days a year and accompanied by a 100,000-square-foot indoor amusement park, the water park offers the Master Blaster tube ride and Victoria Falls family rafting ride. A lazy river tube ride, indoor wave pool, cabanas and the Flowrider boogie board/stand-up surf ride make this a popular family attraction year round.

    Water Park of America

    • Open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the summer, this 70,000-square-foot indoor waterpark provides an aquatic diversion located near the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.

      In addition to its slides and water coasters, Water Park of America offers a snorkeling pool and day spa.

      Hours and rates do vary based on local school schedules so visitors should call before arrival.

    Castaway Bay

    • Sandusky, Ohio's Cedar Point Amusement Park earned the nationwide nickname of "Rollercoaster Capital of the World." Not to be outdone on the waterpark front, the park constructed the 38,000-square-foot Castaway Bay indoor waterpark.

      The Castaway Bay wave pool, the Pineapple Express and Tropical Thunder slides, and the Rendezvous Run watercoaster are some of the parks most popular rides.

    Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark

    • This 88,000-square-foot indoor water park located in Boyne Falls, Michigan, is one of the Midwest's top family attractions. The park's unique Switzerland skiing village theme with snow-themed rides, such as Splasherhorn water fort, Blizzard Bay activity pool and the Downhill Mat Racer slide, draw kids and adults alike to swim.

    West Edmonton Mall World Waterpark

    • In 2010, the 60-acre World Waterpark in Edmonton, Alberta's West Edmonton Mall is the largest indoor water park facility in the world. Open year-round, it offers the Blue Thunder Wave pool, 17 different waterslides and the popular high-speed Sky Screamer, which plummets down 78 feet in approximately 6 seconds.

      Guests arriving within three hours of park closing get discounted admissions. The park is open every day in 2010.

    Waterparks at Wilderness Territory

    • Wilderness Territory in the Wilderness Resort recreation area offers four indoor water parks in addition to various outdoor seasonal water parks on the same property. This giant Wisconsin Dells recplex property houses the Wild West, Klondike Kavern, Wild WaterDome and Cubby's Cove. Package deals for entry to all four are available.

      In 2010 visitors should check with Guest Services for operating hours and current rates for the 500,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor water park recplex.
